PCLS is dedicated to building an organization that reflects the diversity of our clients and the people we work with. This includes diversity in languages spoken, culture, race, sexual orientation and gender identity. We strongly encourage applications from Black and Indigenous members, as well as members from diverse, racialized, and marginalized communities and backgrounds.
PCLS relies on a strategic, progressive and community-focused Board to oversee the management of the clinic and ensure PCLS activities are aligned with its mission, vision and philosophy. The Board is responsible for strategic planning, community engagement, funder relations, and more, so that the legal clinic can do the work necessary for both individual cases and systemic law reform.
We are seeking a Treasurer and two additional volunteers to join our Board of Directors. Our Annual General Meeting will be held at the end of September. We invite interested applicants to join in the governance role of helping to defend the rights of low income people in our community.
No previous experience on Boards is required. PCLS will provide orientation and training to all successful candidates.
