On Wednesday June 12th, 2019, PCLS received government budget cuts equaling over a million dollars.
Funding commitments to clinic space in the community are also insecure. PCLS will move to temporary locations as of July 31, 2019.
We urgently require your support to maintain direct services in the community.
We are committed to staying in the community and focused on legal representation, education, outreach and organizing that fights the impacts of poverty, amplifies voices, and organizes for change.
Please give today and please give generously.
What People Are Saying
“Parkdale Legal helped me get my Permanent Residence and re-unite with my son. I came to Canada under the Live-in Caregiver Program and faced many challenges. I had nowhere to go. When I found Parkdale Legal I knew I was in good hands. If it wasn’t for them I don’t know what I would’ve done.”

“We’re not middle class people. We can’t afford lawyers. We’re just trying to raise our kids in Parkdale. When we have problems, PCLS is there for us. Life would be harder without them.”
— Saba and Addiss
“My rooming house was sold to a guy who wants to make big money. He started trying to push me and the other guys around, telling us we had to sign papers. The legal clinic told us our rights so we can stay in our place. “

“I’m one of the old timers in my building on Dufferin and there aren’t too many of us left. The landlord picks on you. Every little thing. They harass you because they want to move out. Parkdale Legal’s all we have to save us.”
